Assistant Pastor

Clayton Stevicks

Bro. Stevicks was raised in a pastor's home and was saved at the age of 15. He joined the U.S. Army at the age of 23 and served in the Afganistan Campaign as a paratrooper. During his time in the military he began dating his wife, Hannah (The Love of His Life). They were married while he was still in the military. While he was serving in the military he was also serving in the ministry of his local church. Immediately following his completion of service in the Army, he enrolled in Bible College and completed his formal training for the ministry. In November of 2013, Bro. Stevicks and Hannah had their first child, Chloe Jo. Now they are currently serving here as the Assistant Pastor.

Pastor's Assistant

Walt Kirkman

Bro. Kirkman was raised in a Christian home, and taught the scriptures from his youth. Saved at the early age of 8 during a revival preached in his church. Then, during a youth meeting, Walt surrendered his life to be a missionary.

Bro. Kirkman attended Bob Jones University in the mid 60"s where he met his wife Eloise. She too had been saved at an early age during a revival meeting. They graduated in 1970 and were married in June of that year. Walt and Eloise spent their honeymoon in Candidate School with Baptist International Missions, in Chattanooga Tennessee.

One year later they left for the field of Papua New Guinea and spent the next 24 years planting churches among the primitive tribes of that country. During that time they were able to see 13 churches established, as well as translate the New Testament into the language of the people.

In 1994 the Kirkman's had to return to the States due to serious health problems. From that time until now they have faithfully helped struggling local churches to continue to go forward for the Lord. Serving churches from French Lick, Indiana to North Little Rock, Arkansas and now faithfully serving the Heritage Baptist Church, Walt and Eloise are a blessing and help to all who know them.
