"Skits made by them!"

Our ministry in a nutshell
We are a local church ministry based out of Heritage Baptist Temple in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Heritage Baptist College
WHY HERITAGE BAPTIST COLLEGE?

We believe the Great Commission to take the Gospel into all the world was given to the local church (Matthew 28:16-20). Heritage Baptist College is unique in that it is a ministry of the local church, Heritage Baptist Temple. The purpose of Heritage Baptist College is to train men and women to carry out the commission God has given the local church and to prepare them for the work that God has called them to do. It is the conviction of Heritage Baptist Temple that we must train our own people for ministry. In doing so, continuity of purpose, philosophy, and standards are maintained.

The importance of teaching was revealed when Jesus began to teach his disciples and continued to do so for approximately three years.

Heritage Baptist College has a qualified faculty and staff whose dedication and love for Christ are committed to investing their lives in teaching others. "And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also." ( II Timothy 2:2). Heritage Baptist College will impart to you the necessary skills to build a work for God here and around the world.

"But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever. Amen." (II Peter 3:18)

PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

Heritage Baptist College was established to provide an environment for the personal, spiritual, and academic growth of young men and women who are preparing for Christian ministries.

This is still the guiding purpose of the college. The singular objective of Heritage Baptist College is Christian character development. The college seeks to mold the lives of young people to the development of Christ-like characteristics which will find expression through ministries in the areas of local churches, missions, and the Christian school movement.

In keeping with the burden of this ministry there is a continuation of a commitment to a specific doctrinal position. Therefore, the emphasis on character development will be kept within the framework of the historic, fundamentalist doctrinal position.

The specific thrust in character development is exhibited in cultivating the total life of the student - spiritual, academic, social, and physical - so he will be a mature, well-balanced Christian, vitally interested in winning the lost to Christ and serving the local church to help 1ead fellow-believers to Christian maturity.

Some of the specific objectives of the college are:

To prepare the student for a lifetime of profitable Bible study by equipping him with the necessary educational "tools": thorough systemized Bible knowledge, broad general education in the basic areas of human knowledge, and self-discipline.

To lead the student into a life of complete devotion to the Person of the Lord Jesus Christ, as well as a life of complete dependence upon the indwelling Holy Spirit for spiritual maturity and vocational guidance.
To enable the student to express the message of God by word and life.
To train the student for specialized fields of Christian Ministry.
